Jane Maloy

Jane Janda Maloy is in her sixth year as the head band director at Westbrook Intermediate School in Clear Creek ISD and 13th year overall of teaching. Before coming to Westbrook, Mrs. Maloy was the head band director at Manvel Junior High in Alvin ISD from 2015-2019. She began her career as an assistant director at Dueitt Middle School in Spring ISD and Grisham Middle School in Round Rock ISD. She currently conducts the Symphonic Band and has received consecutive sweepstakes at the varsity and non-varsity level. She’s presented clinics at Texas Music Educators Association and been invited to conduct region band and band camps across the state of Texas. 

She graduated from Texas Tech University with her Bachelors of Music Education in 2011 and Masters of Music Education in 2017 under the tutelage of Dr. Keith Dye. She's a proud alumnus of Blue Knights Drum and Bugle Corps and an active member of New Hope Lutheran Church. She currently resides in Clear Lake with her husband and college marching band sweetheart, Jim Maloy and their two young sons: Elwood 3 and Finn 1. 

She directs the Symphonic Band, assists the Honor Band, and teaches beginner trumpet, french horn, trombone and low brass classes. 

Her professional memberships include the Texas Music Educators Association and Texas Bandmasters Association.

Martin Andrada  

Associate Band Director

Martin Andrada is excited to start his sixth year of teaching as the Associate Band Director at Westbrook Intermediate School. He's a clarinet/bass clarinet player from Pearland, TX. He directs the Concert Band & Honor Band, assists the Symphonic Band, and teaches beginner flute, clarinet, and saxophone/double reed classes.

Mr. Andrada student taught at Westbrook Intermediate with Ms. Teri Brockway and at Dulles High School with Mr. Joe Pruitt in Fort Bend ISD.

He graduated in 2018 from the University of Houston Moores School of Music with a bachelor's degree in Music Education under the mentorship of Mr. John Benzer, Ms. Bethann Adams,  Dr. Julie Derges, & Dr. Erin Hansen. While at UH, he studied clarinet/bass clarinet with Mr. Chester Rowell and was a member of the Moores School of Music Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, and Opera Orchestra. 

In his spare time, he likes to travel and visit other countries, plays with the Houston Civic Symphony, and the Texas Medical Center Orchestra. 

His professional memberships include the Texas Music Educators Association, International Clarinet Association, and Texas Bandmasters Association.

Dusty Norris 

 Clear Brook High School Percussion Director

Mr. Norris is currently the Associate Band Director at Clear Brook High School.  His responsibilities include overseeing the percussion program, assisting with the concert bands, and teaching beginner percussion classes and sectionals at Brookside and Westbrook Intermediate Schools.

Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Mr. Norris holds a master's degree in music performance from the University of Akron, as well as a bachelor's degree in music performance from Eastern Illinois University. While pursuing his music degrees, Mr. Norris was a member of the 1996 Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corp and also served as the Director of the University of Akron Marching Zips drumline.

Prior to teaching at Clear Brook High School, Mr. Norris taught in the Fort Bend, Pearland, and Alvin Independent School Districts. Mr. Norris' teaching credits include eight Texas Color Guard Circuit State Championships, three silver medal finishes in Open Class at the Winter Guard International Championships and multiple UIL Sweepstakes awards. In 2016, Mr. Norris was inducted into the Texas Color Guard Circuit Hall of Fame. 

Mr. Norris is an active member of the Percussive Arts Society, Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and is an educational endorser for Pro Mark, Remo Inc., and the Pearl Corporation.

Andres Aya

 Assistant Percussion Director

Andres E. Aya is the Assistant Director of Percussion for Westbrook Int. & Brookside Int. Previously, he was the Director of Percussion at Stephen F. Austin High School and feeders. In 2020 the Stephen F. Austin High School Percussion Ensemble was selected to perform at the prestigious Midwest Clinic and Convention.

Mr. Aya graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and Human Learning from the University of Texas at Austin. During his percussion studies at the University of Texas, Aya studied under George Frock, David Glover, Lisa Nicol, Tony Edwards and Thomas Burritt. He was a member of the UT Longhorn Band (1999-2001), Wind Ensemble (2000-04), and Percussion Ensemble (1999-2004).

Mr. Aya was a Snare-line member in the World Champion Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps from 2001-03 earning 2 World Championships. In 2002, he received the bronze medal in the DCI Individual & Ensemble competition with his snare solo, “Palindrome.” Aya was a member of the 1999 Texas All-State Band and also a member of the Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps Snare-line in 1998.

Aya served as the assistant percussion caption head and snare technician for the Colts Drum and Bugle in the 2009 and 2010 seasons. At the 2017 TMEA convention, Mr. Aya co-presented the first ever TMEA special needs inclusion strategies clinic. Andres E. Aya also served as the Director of Percussion Studies for Alvin High School and Alvin I.S.D. East feeders in Alvin, Texas from 2004-2016.

Andres is sponsored by Innovative Percussion, Evans Drumheads, and Sabian Cymbals. Andres currently resides in Missouri City, Tx with his wife Laura.
